Best Buy: Get the PS5 and God of War Ragnarok bundle
The PS5 is presently available at the usual MSRP, but you can also choose up the God of War Ragnarok bundle for a combined price that is less than the sum of their individual prices.

Walmart: PS5 + God of War Ragnarok bundle in stock
Walmart has the most recent PlayStation 5 and God of War Ragnarok bundle in stock. You can also choose between the regular PS5 console and the PS5 Digital Edition. This is the retailer’s only bundle available right now.

Target (US): check local stores for availability

Target sells the PS5 differently from the rest of the stores. Instead of a scheduled massive refill, the PS5 will now be available in select stores each morning. That makes predicting availability difficult, so your best option is to check each morning in case the console is available to buy near you.

Amazon has the PS5 in stock, with delivery in a few days. PS5 bundles containing God of War Ragnarok or Horizon Forbidden West are also available. All other options are presently sold out. Thus, this is the only way to get a console at the retailer right now.

Smyths Toys is now taking orders for the PS5 bundle with God of War Ragnarok. On the other hand, some consoles and bundles are only available for click-and-collect, while others are accessible for home delivery.

Walmart regularly has the PS5 in stock. It’s generally limited to one or two bundles at a time – and it rarely has the console available to buy alone. Keep an eye for bundles featuring the latest games, such as God of War Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West.

Best Buy: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

Best Buy previously only allowed Totaltech Members access to its PS5 restock events. That’s all changed now, though. Everyone is now able to buy the console when it’s in stock including the latest God of War Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West bundles. Availability is fairly stable now, too.

Target: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

Target used to hold a PS5 restock every few weeks but it’s since changed to a new model. Now, the PS5 will be available to buy from a few stores locally each morning, rather than a massive retailer-wide event. That makes it very difficult for us to give you accurate information about console availability, so your best option is to check in each morning and see if any consoles are in stock near you.

GameStop: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

GameStop used to cycle between offering the PS5 online or through exclusive in-store restock events in large (and expensive) bundles. Thankfully, those days are now behind us, so now you can choose from official bundles featuring God of War Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West. Availability can be limited, though, so it’s best to check if you can order online or pick up one in-store.

PlayStation Direct: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

Sony’s official PlayStation Direct store is usually the most stable when it comes to PS5 console and bundle availability. It tends to have the most options in stock, too, so it’s worth checking if you want a wider range of games or accessories along with your console. Restocks are now open to all as well, but you get free delivery as a PS Plus member or when you buy an accessory at the same time.

PS5 stock appears on Amazon from time to time, but to buy a console or bundles, you must register your interest. You may now request an invitation to buy the PS5 console or Horizon Forbidden West bundle when it becomes available. Very: View all PS5 bundles

Online department store Very has lots of PS5 bundles available at any one time now. It tends to have a few more customisable options compared to other retailers, so it’s good if you have some different games or accessories in mind to buy with a console. Just check that the bundle you order is actually in stock now and not a preorder for a few weeks’ time.

Game is a fairly solid source of PS5 consoles and bundles in the UK. Multiple options are available at any one time featuring the latest games and accessories. Just try to avoid the ones that come with unwanted tat such as caps and t-shirts – unless that sort of thing is your bag, baby.

Currys: PS5 | PS5 Digital Editon

For a long time, Currys used an invite system to hand out its PS5 consoles. Now, it adds a few bundles to its online store during each PS5 restock. These tend to be very expensive options that are packed with extra games and accessories such as PS5 SSDs, steering wheels and wireless headsets.

PlayStation Direct: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

Sony’s official PlayStation Direct store has lots of consoles or bundles in stock at any one time. It’s good if you want the standard PS5 by itself or the much harder-to-find Digital Edition. PS Plus members get free delivery, too, while non-members have to buy an additional game or accessory to avoid paying for shipping.

Argos: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

Tracking PS5 restocks at Argos can be a challenge as the retailer distributes consoles to different regions at different times, which means some areas of the UK and Ireland have availability when others might not. Our best advice is simply to check regularly just in case the PS5 or a bundle is available to buy in your area this time around.

Smyths Toys: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

When the PS5 is available at Smyths Toys it tends to be through Click and Collect only, though more home delivery options have opened up lately. Individual stores have a very limited number of consoles, too, so you just have to be quick enough to secure one before they sell out. That’s less frequent now, at least.

ShopTo: PS5

ShopTo has the PS5 in stock fairly regularly, but it’s usually just the latest bundle on offer. You can choose to customise yourself in some cases by adding extra games or accessories, but these are usually limited to what the retailer decides is available – and you pay full price anyway. Look out for bundles with a £20 gift card, though, as this is effectively free money to spend on any extras.

BT Shop: PS5

BT distributes the PS5 through its own BT Shop. In order in order to buy one, though, you sometimes need to be an existing BT customer. When the console is available you can log in to your BT account and there should be an option in the ‘Your Offers’ section to get an access code. Enter this on the PS5 store page at the BT Shop and you’ll be able to buy a console or bundle when available.

EE: PS5

Similar to BT, the PS5 is an EE customer exclusive. Anyone currently on an EE contract – or that signs up as a new customer – can add the PS5 to their plan if it’s in stock. You simply pay a part of the cost upfront and then pay off the rest of the console over the next 11 months on top of your existing monthly bill.

Amazon: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

Whether you want the console with a disc drive or without, the PS5 is now often in stock at Amazon, so there’s no waiting in line to get one. This year, we’ve even seen a slight discount on the PS5 God of War Ragnarok combo. As a big online-only retailer, Amazon has more online stock ready to return to your door than certain brick-and-mortar locations.

Big W: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

While other retailers’ PS5 stock troubles have eased, Big W’s stock still needs to be more consistent, and you may have more luck locating it in-store rather than online. You can use Big W’s website to check availability at neighboring stores to save time. Along with God of War Ragnarok, the retailer also offers the console.

EB Games: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

EB Games was one of the first retailers to sell out of the PS5, as the console received many pre-orders in 2021. Both the conventional console edition and the digital edition are now available to buy at EB Games, and stock issues have eased. Along with click and collect, EB Games offers the option to check the stock at your local store.

JB Hi-Fi: PS5

JB Hi-Fi is getting more regular stock of the PS5, but only if you want the standard console with a disc drive. When writing, the massive retailer’s website was out of stock of the digital edition, but you can always check your local store. Like other retailers, JB Hi-Fi is providing a slight discount on the PS5 console with God of War Ragnarok packed in.

Sony: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

Sony also has a stock of the PS5 if you wish to buy through the manufacturer. When you buy straight from Sony, you also get free shipping on orders above AU$ 200 (yes, the PS5 is way over that amount). You can also request a price match, so if a candidate offers a lower price, you should be able to purchase it cheaper from Sony.

Target: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

Target now has regular PS5 stock. However, according to its website, the product is only available for click-and-collect. By entering your postcode on Target’s website, you can quickly check stock in nearby stores and reserve it using the click-and-collect tool. You can also buy in-store, though we are still determining when you’ll be able to order online for home delivery.

The Gamesmen: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

The Gamesmen is a locally owned game retailer, making it a fantastic choice to buy locally. Stock difficulties have eased, and you can now buy The Gamesmen’s normal console or the digital edition in-store or online. Shipping fees will vary, but you can pick one up in the Penshurst store if you live nearby.

The Good Guys: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

The Good Guys may be different from the first place you think of when buying a PS5, but this large retailer has the latest console in stock. You can buy the console in-store or online. However, the only option for online orders is to click and collect – The Good Guys will not deliver the console to your home for now.

Amazon: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

Though Amazon Canada doesn’t appear to restrict PS5 sales to Prime members, it seems like a long time since the console was available to buy. We’d suggest keeping an eye on that product description in case it’s updated with any information about exclusive early access for Amazon Prime members as that’s helped nail down restock dates in other regions.

Walmart: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

Walmart has a PS5 restock landing page that delivers regular updates on the console’s availability. More often than not it states that the PS5 is unavailable but points you toward Walmart Canada on Twitter to get the most up-to-date news.

Best Buy: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

PS5 consoles appear to now be in stock at Best Buy and you can currently pick up either the digital or the disc edition models for their respective MSRP. There’s also a God of War Ragnarok bundle for each as well.

GameStop: PS5 | PS5 Digital Edition

GameStop currently only offers either the PS5 or PS5 Digital Edition as part of a bundle and these change all the time. Our advice? Check out another outlet before GamesStop if you just want the console or a cheaper bundle for right now.

2. Prepare your wallet

If you’re seeking to buy a PS5, you probably already have the money saved, but you’ll want to ensure everything is in order at each retailer. For a quick checkout, prepare your card and shipping information on a separate page ahead of time, or make sure they are stored and correct with your retailers of choice.

3. Sign in

You may already have an account with your preferred retailers, but remember to sign in ahead of restocks. Logging in ahead of time can eat up crucial seconds at checkout, and you’ll require all the time you can get to give yourself the best chance of buying a PS5 today.
